The 26,000 acre Fall Creek Falls State Park is a family adventure just waiting for you. Spanning the eastern top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau it is full of cascades, gorges, waterfalls, streams and lush forests. Waterfalls in the park include Fall Creek Falls, Piney Falls, Cane Creek Falls, and Cane Creek Cascades.

We stayed in a fishing cabin with half of the cabin over he water. It was such fun walking out the sliding glass door and fishing right out the back. The nightly raccoon visits were very entertaining.

There are numerous hiking trails to the various waterfalls and some really fun swinging bridges.

You’ll find people wading or tubing in the various waterholes and/or waterfalls, or swimming in the Olympic size pool with wading pool. It’s open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

You might even spot an albino skunk when you are hiking. There are 30 cabins and 222 campsites. Unfortunately, the Inn is closed for renovations. It should reopen in 2020. The park also has four playgrounds and five covered picnic pavilions. There is an 18- hole golf course and a Canopy Challenge Course with aerial obstacles including ladders, wobbly bridges, rope swings, cargo nets, balance beams and zip lines.

There are 24 mile of bike trails and permitted rock climbing. Go fishing off your balcony, off the shore, or in a boat. You can rent aluminum jon boats, paddleboats, ands kayaks or bring your own. This park is an awesome family vacation destination for all ages. Such a beautiful place.
