About Us

My name is Jim Dixon. I am a retired band director from Burleson, Texas. My passion has always been investigating, planning, and implementing unique vacations. I spend hours and hours looking for interesting places to visit in the 48 states.

I love to share my ideas with others and could talk for hours with anyone that will listen. When my wife and I return from trips we are often asked how we found out about someplace we visited. It requires a lot of painstaking time on the computer checking every travel site, every chamber of commerce, and every possible source of info about a particular area.

In Texas, the majority of the people go to the coast, to Colorado, to Arkansas, to New Orleans, to Disney World, or go on a cruise. These are all wonderful places, but there are so many awe-inspiring things to do and places to visit that are a little less well known.
